ASA Firewall

Goals

- This is a basic Cisco ASA firewall configuration course. This five-day course will prepare network security engineers for the basic skills and knowledge needed to configure Cisco ASA firewalls. The firewall administrator will learn how to manage and configure the firewall itself, from basic functionality to VPN functionality. The course includes practical exercises on individual areas. The course focuses only on the functionality of Cisco status firewalls and does not include the configuration and management of the Cisco Next Generation Firewall (Firepower Threat Defense).

- Getting to know the Cisco ASA firewall- Introducing Cisco Firewalls- Basic configuration of Cisco ASA firewall- Configure security policies (ACL - firewall rules)- Configure translation rules (NAT)- Introduction to cryptographic concepts and VPN technologies- Configure site-to-site VPN on ASA- Configure Remote Access VPN on Cisco ASA- High availability configuration- Getting to know a transparent and multi-context firewall

Prerequisites

- Network and TCP / IP knowledge, IPv4 addressing. Knowledge of PC, Internet, MS
